Spring/Summer Makeup Favorites

Hi Everyone!
Spring is in full action and here in Florida, the Spring weather is just as hot as the summer weather. Here are some of my favorite makeup products I will be rocking this Summer!

One of the most raved about facial primers is on the top of my list for this summer. The Rimmel London's Stay Matte Primer is light weight and gets the job done when it comes to reducing shine. I personally love to use this primer either alone or with minimal makeup. I don't like it much under heavy foundations. The oil in my skin seems increase....I know, strange! You can find it at your local drug store retailing between $6 to $8.

Speaking of foundations, the next must have for the summer is the CoverGirl's (Queen Collection) 3 in 1 foundation. Matching my color to the T, this light weight foundation is great for oily gals like me. The foundation does not move and best of all, it comes with a PUMP! Less mess while doing my makeup is always a plus :) You can find it at your local drug store retailing between $7 to $12.

LIPPIES, LIPPIES, LIPPIES... If it is not shoes, lipsticks are my next obsession! I have been on a hunt for the right color purple that compliments my skin. I ran across "Aria" from NYX. This purple is an all around perfect purple. Not only can it be bright and vibrant for the Summer/Spring seasons, once you pair it with a dark lip pencil, such as "Current" by Jordan, it can easily be transitioned for a dark Fall/Winter look.
Not into bright colors? It is AOK! My go to "nude" lip product is also from NYX in the color "Gingersnap". I am in love with their Butter Gloss. The smooth creamy texture moisturizers your lips and also leaves a great long lasting pigment. Slap this bad girl on your lips, and you are out the door in seconds. You can find NYX lip products in your local ULTA retailing between $4 to $6.

Honestly, when I first purchased the Rimmed London's Scandaleyes Reto Glam mascara I was not very fond of it. I felt like it did not give me the "dramatic" look I was looking for. Overtime, it still does mot give me the effect I'm looking for, but it does come off extremely black which I love and the brush is AMAZING. The brush helps separate my lashes, the curve makes it easy for all my lashes to get coated, and creates less mess on my eyelids. Al in all, it does volumes your lashes. You can find it at your local drug store retailing between $8 to $10.

Last but not least, you cannot create a fresh summer glow without a little highlight on the cheeks. NYX's "Terra Cotta" is a great product that acts as a two and one for us ladies of darker complexion. It is originally a blush, but can be used as a highlighter because of the golden reflexes that are mixed in it. You can use it alone for a golden, sun kissed highlight, or on top of other blushes. I love to use it also down the bridge of my nose. You can find it at your local ULTA retailing about $4.
